ITS AUTUMN !!

Its Autumn or "Fall" as it is often referred to.  The leaves are falling and the "helicopters" (my sister calls them) from off of the trees and making for a very asthetic look to the the landscape.  It's a photographer's or artist's delight to have all this beautiful orange- rusty- brown colors and bright yellows and reds to look at.  

The drop in temperature has been a little difficult though as it was 100 degrees plus just a few days ago and now its down to 60s and 40s and night.  I got chilled taking a nap on the couch a few days ago and started to feel a little under the weather.  But all is normalized now and I am back to my old self.  I am now recovering from a root canal procedure and taking anti biotics for five days just to be on the safe side. 

I hear there are fires in Colorado right now.  I hope everyone is safe and that they put them out soon.

So did everyone watch the town halls the other night?  I watched the Biden one, well half way anyway.  And it just didnt seem like a typical debate situation.  How about you?  What did you think of the new format?

I suppose we should be thinking about getting ready for the holidays - Thanksgiving and Christmas, I just cant get excited yet, I m sort of a last minute person when it comes to getting those things prepared.  I see a lot of videos online showing how to make Christmas decorations and I think you people must be so organized in your personal lives to be able to sit down and make those so early.

Its coming up a Blue Moon on October 31 this year also called a Hunters Moon.  A Blue moon is when there are two moons in one month as I understand it.

CORONATION

Well, today there is a new King in England.  Charles III.  And a new queen - Queen Camilla.  Will there be great jubilation and a new regime from this King in England?  It will be interesting to see. I didn't watch the coronation - wrong time for me.  But I will probably catch the reruns of the festivities.  England was probably out with all their banners and flags.  And enjoying parties with friends and family.   I am an ex-pat so I won't be there to see the atmosphere and hear the shouts of jubilation, I'm sure it will be quite a day in jolly Olde England.  I wasn't there when Queen Elizabeth II was coronated either mostly because I was only one year old and my Mother, as far as I know, was not there either.  It is quite an elaborate occasion. MOTHERS DAY

Its Mothers Day in the USA today May 13 2018. When I think of Mothers Day I automatically think of my Mother and my Grandmother of course. My Grandmother was also my God Mother.  So yes, I think of those and my other Grandmother that lived across the road from us where I grew up. My Mother will be 88 this year on her birthday in October, so I have had a long time with her in my life.  When I think of her on Mothers Day, I remember all the great things she did for us when we were children, like taking us camping for instance at Epping Forest in Enfield.  Showing us how to set up a tent and camp as if that we were going to live there for ever.  It was heaps of fun.  The only thing I didn't like was the creepy crawlies that could get into your tent otherwise it was a wonderful time for me and my sisters.  Another lovely thing she would do in the summer would be to rent a room at  a bed and breakfast at the ocean.  Sometimes our grandmother would ...
